Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse in Pasadena

Alcoholism and addiction are illnesses that usually take a long time to completely settle in. Not many individuals “become” addicted after their first usage, but rather through repetition of behavior they slowly become physically and psychologically dependent on a substance. Often times this occurs without the individual being the wiser, as they seemingly wake up one day and realize that they cannot live their life without the aid of one substance or another.

As such the recovery process for alcoholism and addiction takes times as well. It is not simply 30 days in a treatment center and then you are totally cured from your ailments, but rather it can take months in order for an individual to feel strong in their recovery and strong in their life.

Understanding this, Pasadena Recovery Center offers a plethora of treatment options in order to help our clients navigate their first few months of their recovery. We believe that each client should be given the support they need, for as long as they need, and that treatment for substance abuse should not be dictated by a preset number of days or hours.

One such treatment option that we offer is our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab, which represents the final stage in our recovery process. Those who attend our outpatient rehab will have successfully completed detox, inpatient, and intensive outpatient, and are well on their way to totally integrating back into their daily lives. They will be working, maintaining relationships outside of the treatment center, and attending meetings on their own, but even with all of that, they may still need some extra support if times get tough, and that is what our outpatient rehab comes in.

What is an Outpatient Rehab in Pasadena?

Outpatient Rehab, like the kind we offer at our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab, is a form of substance abuse treatment that usually comes directly after intensive outpatient, and acts as a continuance of the treatment process. It is typically 5 or less clinical hours a week, which means that individuals who attend outpatient can work or participate in the responsibilities of their life without much interruption.

During this stage of the recovery process an individual will begin to really explore how to stay sober within their day-to-day life. Since they will only be attending treatment for a few hours a week, most of their time will spent outside of the treatment setting, where they will be given the opportunity to use their newfound life skills in a manner that allows them to be successful.

Since clients who attend our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab will be spending a majority of their time outside of the clinical setting, the program must be customized to address the issues that they are currently facing on a daily basis. We believe that it wouldn’t make sense to reiterate topics that do not pertain to what they are experiencing and would be counterproductive for their recovery.

Understanding this we seek to work with all of the clients at our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab on the subjects that matter most to them. If they are having trouble communicating with their family members, then that is the topic that will be addressed. If they are struggling with dealing with the anxieties that daily life can bring, then that will be a focus of the outpatient program. Basically any issue that could possibly arise can be addressed at our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab, and it is our goal to aid you in any way that we possibly can.

At our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab our goal is to give you the support you need in order to maintain your recovery through the early stages of sobriety. We understand that the period after an individual leaves inpatient treatment is the most precarious time in their sobriety, but by offering continued support, and a safe space in which to process your emotions, we seek to give all of our clients the best possible chance at recovery.

The Benefits of Outpatient Rehab

Just because an individual finally stops drinking or using drugs, does not mean that other issues will not arise. Very often stopping drinking and using drugs is simply the first step in the road to recovery and understanding this, we highly suggest that all of our clients engage in the treatment process for as long as possible.

Once an individual completes inpatient, they then move on to intensive outpatient and are in a position where they are living in the outside world a majority of the time. They will find a job, a place to live and begin to reintegrate back into society as a sober member of the community. However, once intensive outpatient is done, if the client does not participate in outpatient, they run the risk of possibly placing themselves in a dangerous position, where a relapse could occur.

The reason for this is because they are still learning how to interact with the world without the use of drugs and alcohol and after having spent years doing so, it will take some time to adjust. What our Pasadena, California Outpatient Rehab offers is an extra layer of support during this adjustment period, during which you will have access to counselors and other understanding staff members who can help you if any issues should come up. In other words outpatient allows our clients to continue to use the treatment center as a home base of sorts, a safe space, where they can go to at any time and get advice and support that they may need.
