Suggested Reading: Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher and more.

A very talented writer, Carrie Fisher, has a lot to share with the fans who saw her grow.

“Post Cards from the Edge” was published in 1987 and is “semi-autobiographical in the sense that she fictionalized and satirized real life events such as her drug addiction of the late 1970s.” (Wikipedia)

“Wishful Drinking” Published in 2008, was turned into a  show in which  Fisher performed through 2009 .

Both works depict an honest description of her addiction and rehabilitation process in Tinseltown.
