Pasadena Recovery Center was founded by the late Dr. Lee Bloom, an experienced psychiatrist who was trained at Tulane University, Duke University, and the University of California, Los Angeles. After serving as a psychiatrist in the United States Air Force, Dr. Lee Bloom returned to Los Angeles and worked with patients in several of the area’s top psychiatric hospitals before establishing Pasadena Recovery Center. Today, Pasadena Recovery Center remains a family owned and operated business, with Dr. Lee Bloom’s son, Mr. Michael Bloom, serving as Director of Admissions and Chief Financial Officer. Michael Bloom also receives the support of his sister, Alison, who acts as Pasadena Recovery Center’s Chief Economic Officer.
Under the direction of Michael Bloom, Pasadena Recovery Center is one of Southern California’s most prominent addiction recovery institutions, promoting a holistic recovery process that addresses both the mind and the body. In addition to regular therapy sessions and other addiction treatments, patients at Pasadena Recovery Center are encouraged to participate in yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and fitness classes. Pasadena Recovery Center treats a wide range of patients, offering specialty programs for those with gambling problems, anger management issues, or a history of self-harm. Also working with dual diagnosis patients, the professionals at Pasadena Recovery Center strive to create personalized and integrated treatment plans that address both substance abuse and other behavioral and emotional disorders.
Recently, Michael Bloom announced that VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, featuring the renowned Dr. Drew Pinsky, will be returning to Pasadena Recovery Center for its fourth season. Previously, Pasadena Recovery Center was also featured on the television program Secret Lives of Women.
